Resources and Services

  • Comprehensive curriculum based upon the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and the philosophy that children should be engaged in active, real-life learning.

  • 17 classrooms

  • Currently serve close to 400 students, grades Pre-K to 4

  • Large open space designed to accommodate both AM and PM kindergarten sessions.

  • Average class size is less than 25 students

  • Library/media center

  • Computer area which has up-to-date software and including the Internet

  • Variety of enrichment programs including:

  • Reading incentive programs, Junior Achievement, Global Child, Fire Prevention, Bicycle Safety, Art Exhibit, Junior Great Books and Academic Enrichment.

  • Outside safe play area for both kindergarten and elementary classes

  • Before/After Extended School programs including educational/recreational activities

  • Academic assistance available before and after school

  • Open houses and teacher conferences

  • Cafeteria which serves both well balanced hot and cold meals

  • Active School Improvement Council and Parent Advisory Council (PAC) both groups have as their mission; to provide and improve the many activities available to our student

  • Study Island internet MCAS practice and preparation program for grades 3 and 4.
