The John F. Ryan School Council consists of the principal, three teachers (elected by the teaching staff), four parents (elected) and a community representative (appointed by the principal). The council meets monthly to discuss school policies and plans. Annually, the council presents a school improvement plan to the Tewksbury School Committee for its approval.
