Welcome to the Tewksbury Integrated Preschool

Program Description

The Tewksbury Integrated Preschool is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The preschool program serves children in Tewksbury between the ages of three and five.

All classroom teachers are Early Childhood Specialists. Currently, we have three classrooms with a total of nine sessions each week. Each teacher teaches a Tuesday/Thursday morning class as well as a Mon/Wed/Fri morning class. In addition, each teacher teaches a Tuesday through Friday afternoon class. Each class enrolls up to seven children on Individualized Educational Programs (IEP) and seven role model children who were chosen in a town-wide lottery in April. Our maximum enrollment includes 63 children with Individualized Education Programs and 63 role models, totaling 126 children.

The children identified with special needs may receive a variety of special education services from certified Special Education providers in accordance with their IEP. Each classroom is staffed with an Early Childhood Specialist, a certified aide and many classes have an additional classroom aide depending on the needs of the children. A registered School Nurse, housed at the North Street School, is assigned to the Integrated Preschool.
