North Street Presents:

WHAT IS ADOPT-A-CLASSROOM?
It’s amazing how much the state of education in the U.S. has drastically changed since we were children! While School Committees struggle with funding, students lack access to basic, current classroom supplies such as books, globes, maps, and hands-on learning tools and technology. Now there is a way for all of us to change this situation and enrich the education for Tewksbury students.
Adopt-A-Classroom is a national non-profit program that invites the community into the classroom in support of our students. By sponsoring a classroom, donors form partnerships with specific groups of students providing financial and moral support. Connections can occur through the donation of funds needed materials or direct service opportunities. The result is a collaboration that supports and celebrates a classroom’s success. Lasting relationships with teachers and students are forged and classrooms are transformed into vibrant centers of learning.
Adopt-A-Classroom is an easy-to-use, efficient web-based program with the following features:
·
Businesses
and individuals choose a classroom and contribute a $25.00 or more
tax-deductible donation.
·
Donors
receive immediate tax documentation via e-mail.
·
100%
of the donation is received by the teacher as online credit.
·
The
teacher uses the funds to purchase needed educational resources.
·
Teachers
provide direct feedback to donors through an impact report that clearly
outlines exactly how and why the money was spent.
·
Throughout
the year, partnership builds via ongoing communication between teachers and
sponsors, giving everyone a chance to witness the difference this support has
made in the lives of these students.
INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING BUT NOT SURE HOW?
Please go online to our North Street Adopt-A-Classroom Portal and check out the classrooms waiting to be sponsored. Several people can get together in support of a classroom. Gifts can be made in memoriam, by extended family, friends, or through a business or corporate program.
This is a great opportunity to help students thrive even in
the midst of a financial crisis. As we all know, children learn best when the
community works together toward helping students reach their highest potential.
Thanks in advance for your support!
