Meeting Minutes – October 2007

Introduction of new treasurer – Ann Flynn

2hr power hour – We had over 100 people return forms.

Software available for tracking purposes, cost is $300.00 for the year

Decision needs to be made by 11/30.

Haunted House fundraiser – Only 2 responses so far

Patriotic Play – Tryouts were Thurs. 9/27 – very good attendance. Mrs. Turcotte has volunteered to make some costumes. We need to find a parent rep. Play to be held on 11/8

Food Drive – To be held week of 10/22 Need help with box set up and delivery of food.

Pennies for Patients – Week of 2/25/08-3/14/08

Coats for Kids – October – January

Playground – Extended day will donate labor and mulch. Jan Barbeti will be in on Saturday 10/06 for clean up, she will need help in the near future. Tewksbury paint will donate paint for the equipment. Ann-Marie Boucher motioned that we spend not more then $1000.00 on 4 benches for the playground.

Market Basket donated 4000 points through the Campbell’s soup program; we will use these to purchase jump ropes, hula-hops and balls.

Fundraising – Meadow Farms sold $10,768.50, we make up to a 50% profit. We will also receive free tee shirts.

Scrip gift cards – no update.

4th Grade – Pumpkins will go out on 10/12, need to be back by 10/22. They will be on display through the school and at the Post Office.

Shoppers Night – 11/15 so far we have 12 vendors lined up.

Summer Reading Pictures are up on the tree. Thanks to Bob DeVito & Lisa Cowles.

Arts & Enrichment – We need a person to handle this. We will run 1 program per grade with a few school wide programs.

SPED PAC – Kelly Preble is our new rep. up coming workshop - How to find an advocate @ H.S. library 10/10/07 7:00 pm

Run/Walk 10/27/07 8:00-2:00

Pennies for Peace – Ms. Johnson spoke about collecting pennies to help schools in Afghanistan & Pakistan.

Principal Remarks – Mr. Erler would like more information on Got Books.

The food committee is working on revising the food policy.

Mrs. Kalijian from title 1 would like to purchase book bags for the children to take home reading books. Motion made vote passed to allot $96.00

School Council – Met for the 1st time tonight. Solidify contents of North Street School pamphlet.

Wish list for Christmas drive for Tewksbury Hospital will be going out soon.

 

 

 

Mrs. Cintolo will again run children helping children

Holiday Workshop – December 3rd-7th

Holiday Breakfast will be held the 1st Sat of December with the 2nd Saturday as a snow date.

Anne Marie Boucher will once again run Sum-It January – April 2008. Cost is $2.00 per child with a $5.00 family cap.
