Meeting Minutes – November 2007

 

Treasurer - Ann Flynn will be mtting with Bridget to switch over the bank account

4th Grade – Shoppers Night 11/15 6:00–8:30, tickets went home with 4th graders.

Kim McEachern will be putting flyers up around town.

Holiday Breakfast – Saturday 12/8 with snow date being 12/15.

Kim McEachern needs a co-chair for this

Holiday Shopping – Week of December 3rd, Ann Marie Boucher is preparing for this. She is looking for volunteers to help kids shop.

Coat Drive – Josie Benassi said we have collected 39 coats so far, drive goes till January 15th.

Food Drive – Rhonda Boudreau said the pantry is very thankful for the delivery.

Arts & Enrichment – We need 1 or 2 reps to do this. We plan on bringing 1 program per grade plus 1 or 2 school wide programs. Nancy Cappiello & Rhonda Boudreau have volunteered to do this.

Teachers – Mrs. Enos would like to do “Pull the tabs for Shriners”

Teacher allotments have been approved $75.00 per teacher deadline is 1/31/08

Mrs. Kalajian is looking for help sorting guided reading books.

Children helping children volunteers have things in the works, notices going home with students soon.

SPED – Walk on 11/04 didn’t have the turnout as they expected due to the rain.

Tuesday 11/06 Presentation at the Wynn Nuts and Bolts of ABA.

Next PAC meeting is 11/19 7:00-9:00 pm Ryan School Barry Feingold will be attending to discuss how to help. There will be no December meeting.

Dyslexia support group 1st meeting went well, Ellen & Rhonda both attended.

SPED PAC co-chairs will be meeting with Mrs. Rodriguez & Ellen on 11/08 to discuss enrichment programs for the North St.

Principal – American Education week Tuesday 11/13 parents are invited to visit their child’s classroom, Susan Tucker will be speaking to parents at 9:30.

School Council – Is up and running, we have had 2 meetings so far. Budget was reviewed at the last meeting.

Patriotic Play – Thursday 11/08 Dewing School. Morning session is for kids only. Evening Session is open to the public 210 tickets sold to date.

Fundraising – Scrip starts Monday and runs till 11/26.

Playground Improvement – Mrs. Rodriguez met with a rep from Little Tykes, there is a structure available for about $15,000, there would be no shipping or set-up charges.

Cindy Basteri is donating mulch. Tewksbury paint & hardware is donating paint.

Mrs. Cintolo donated and planted trees. Benches were ordered and will be delivered in 6 weeks.

School clean-up day scheduled for Sunday 11/4 11:00-2:00, raindate date is Sunday 11/11.

Risers will cost about $4500.00, this will have to wait to next year.

Next Meeting Thursday December 6th.
