
| The PAC is always on the lookout for volunteers to help in any way possible. Below is a list of the various committees that are active at North Street Elementary School. |

| Arts & Enrichment: | Throughout the school year this committee arranges for in-school performances that are related to the curriculum and are age appropriate. |
| Book Fair | In conjunction with Scholastic Publications, this committee holds an in-school book fair that provides a great selection of books for students to purchase. Each class is allotted separate times to select books. Volunteers are needed to set-up the displays, help students with their purchase, restock shelves, and break down the displays at the end of the book fair. |
| Campbell's | North Street students are asked to collect and donate labels from Campbell's products. The school receives a cash rebate for each label donated. Volunteers are needed to collect the labels from classrooms and organize them for a rebate. |
| Fall Fundraiser: | This committee raises money to support school activities and services not provided through the school budget during the year. There is only one major fundraiser in the Fall, and this year's vendor was Meadow Farms. |
| Family Dine Out Nights: | Volunteers are needed to arrange fundraising days with local restaurants. |
| Family Reading Night: | This committee hosts a night for family reading, learning, and fun! An outside "guest" speaker is scheduled to join North Street for this night. |
| Fourth Grade Committee: | This committee organizes and runs all send-off activities held for the fourth grade students who are leaving North Street School. Past activities include a field day and banquet. |
| Fundraising: | Various fundraisers are held during each school year to support school activities and services not provided through the school budget. Examples of
fundraising efforts are: our annual Fall Fundraiser, Campbells, General Mills Box Tops, Soxtops, Hannaford $, and Tyson. (Please see respective commitees in this table or Fundraising pages for more information.) |
| General Mills Box Tops: | Students and their families are asked to collect and donate "Box Tops for Education" box tops from General Mill's products. The school receives a cash rebate for each box top received. Volunteers are needed to collect the box tops from classrooms and organize them for rebate. |
| Holiday Breakfast: | An annual tradition at North Street School, this committee hosts a weekend holiday breakfast for all North Street students and their families. Volunteers are needed to set-up, make & serve breakfast,and clean up afterwards. Santa makes a special visit on this day! |
Holiday Workshop:(a.k.a. "Kids Go Shopping") |
This committee is responsible for running North Street's popular "Kids Go Shopping" days. Volunteers are always needed to take inventory on the items to be sold, set up and take down item displays, and assist the children with their purchases.(Children learn important lessons about budgeting their money during this event.) |
| Ice Cream Social: | This annual event allows our North Street community an evening to socialize. Parent volunteers are needed to set-up, scoop ice cream, and clean up after the event. |
| Ice Skating: | |
| Landscaping: | The commitee performs tasks such as weeding, planting, and decorating. Annual Fall and Spring Clean Up days are scheduled to improve the school grounds, and the school community is invited to particiapte. Volunteers are needed to assist this effort. North Street School welcomes any voluntary professional services that the Tewksbury community may offer too! |

| Roller Skating: | |
| SUM+IT: | This is a three month long run "at home" math program for the students. Volunteers are needed to copy and collate the monthly math packets that are distributed to the children via their teachers. Volunteers are also needed to help plan and run an "at school" awards ceremony for all those students who have completed the program. This program truly promotes an enthusiasm for math and fosters a "can do" attitude in each child. |
