North Street PAC – Meeting Minutes

Co - Chairs UPDATE:

Playground – Purchased with campbells points balls, hula-hoops & jumpropes. These were labeled and divided by grade. Request for benches to be installed is in, they should be done next week. Cindy Basteri will coordinate painting of equipment. The Pac will look into something for shade.

Fundraising – will look into putting something together to raise funds for new playground equipment – would like to try to tie into field day.

Bookfair – Begins Monday April 28th, Michelle Sullivan is heading this up. Books for summer reading are being stamped.

MCAS bagels – They were a big hit however we will not be doing it again next year due to the new school food policy.

Risers – Paul Morris has offered to build risers for us. PAC will purchase all materials.

Website – Is up and running and looks great. Any feedback please let Karen Nordstrom know.

Family Reading Night – We had about 45 people attend. Pictures will be going up on the website soon. We would like to do a library card drive again.

Pennies for Patients – We collected $1,019.48 this is great! Our goal was $500.00. Mrs. Kryzenski’s class will be getting tee shirts for the highest donations.

Arts & Enrichment – May 19th, Whole school program Michael Cobray will be doing a Beethoven presentation.

May 27th, Michelle’s Menagerie will be visiting 2nd grade.

Date TBA, Martha Dana will visit K.

SUM-IT – 106 students started 85 are doing the 3rd packet.

4th grade – Pizza party will be held on 4/4, yearbook is almost done deadline is 4/11. Tee shirts will be handed at the end of the party on 4/4.

 

TEACHER'S UPDATE
– Library has a request for a new book shelve. Cost is about $605.00. Vote tabled till next month.

 

TREASURER UPDATE:
We collected a check for $84.00 from Hannaford’s. We will do this fundraiser next year.

 

PRINCIPAL UPDATE:
Congrats go out to Mrs. Enos & Mrs. Ventura’s 1st grade classes who won a recess dance party.

School Council – goals have been developed and are detailed in the April newsletter. We will be making a presentation on 4/30 @ 7:00 Wynn Middle School all are welcome.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS:
Anne Marie Stronach spoke about an important special town meeting to be held on Tuesday May 6th, at TMHS regarding rebuilding TMHS.

 

OPEN POSITIONS:
Co-Chair, SUM-IT, Newsletter. We only have 2 meetings left this year.
