The administrators
and faculty support Intellectual Freedom.

The Larrabee Library was named after Mrs.
Herbert M. Larrabee. Mrs. Larrabee served on the School Committee
for many years and was named chairperson from 1924-46.

BORROWING MATERIALS
-
Student needs to show
their student ID card to take any material out of the library.
-
Students may take any
number of books needed, provided the student has no outstanding
late book obligations. (There may be a limit of books per subject
when the subject matter teacher assigns special projects.)

Two weeks are allowed
for borrowed books prior to any fines being levied.
- Book renewal is possible when the book
is present.

USING THE LIBRARY
- No student may leave the library before
the conclusion of a class period without his/her planner signed by
a teacher or the librarian.

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the library/media center
is to prepare the students to become citizens of tomorrow with the
ability to use modern technology to access information and integrate
the data to meet their academic, work and personal needs. The library/media
center is keying its acquisitions to the school's curriculum interest
and teachers professional development.

COMPUTERS,
HARDWARE AND PHOTOCOPIER
- Computers, photocopiers and other library
hardware are be be used properly and with care.
- If a student is not sure how to operate
hardware, the student should consult the librarian or aide.
- The library computers are for school projects
or activities only.
- Changing the settings on computers will
result in disciplinary action. Students who use computers must record
their names, the nature of the schoolwork, date, and time on the computer
log sheet.
